Head Instructor: Troy Soles

A student of Larry Kraxberger-sensei since 1988, Troy Soles became a Sei Kosho Shorei Kai International Kosho Ryu Kempo instructor in 1996.  Since that time, Soles-sensei has taught at the famed Kosho Ryu Kempo (Un Mon Dojo) School (Oregon City, Oregon), Clackamas Community College (Oregon City, Oregon), Ito's Kempo School (Novato, California), Concordia University (Portland, Oregon), Lewis & Clark College (Portland, Oregon), Multnomah Athletic Club (Portland, Oregon), and Bally Total Fitness (Oregon).  In addition to his Kempo teaching credentials, Soles-sensei is an American Sports Education Program certified coach with a master's degree in teaching; he has developed a video series on the yoga of Kosho Ryu Kempo and taught numerous seminars in the Western United States.  Presently, Soles-sensei teaches Kempo (Baika No Mon Dojo) through the Community Education Program at Canby High School (Oregon), where he also teaches English and coaches football and track.  

 

Instructor: Jenny Soles

A student of Robert Ito-sensei since 1979, Jenny Soles became a Sei Kosho Shorei Kai International Kosho Ryu Kempo instructor in 1995.  Since that time, Soles-sensei has taught at Ito's Kempo School (Novato, California), Learning Tree Preschool & Daycare (Oregon), and through the Canby Community Education Program.  In addition to her Kempo teaching credentials, Soles-sensei has an extensive background in early childhood development and elementary education.

 

Instructor: Shane Strangfield

Shane Strangfield became a student of Larry Kraxberger-sensei in 1994 and continued his studies as a student under Troy Soles-sensei in 2002. Shane Strangfield became a Sei Kosho Shorei Kai International instructor in 2005. Strangfield-sensei is certified in the state of Oregon by the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training as a Defensive Tactics, Use of Force and Confrontational Simulations instructor. Strangfield-sensei is also certified as a law enforcement instructor in the use of Taser, impact weapons, knife use and defense, ground fighting and a certified Krav Maga law enforcement instructor.  Presently, Strangfield-sensei is an instructor at the Kosho Ryu Kempo (Baika Mon Dojo) School of Self Defense in Canby, Oregon.
